Adele Sumner
Adele Sumner is the Head of Counter Fraud at RSA Insurance UK. She has over ten years of ‘hands on’ experience in counter fraud activity in the insurance sector, including leading RSA’s Fraud Intelligence Team where she developed techniques and experience in the use of the internet, both to assist individual investigations and to obtain data that will enhance fraud detection models. She is widely acknowledged for her expertise in the practical deployment and use of technology to identify fraud and has been an important figure in various fraud technology programmes both in RSA and at an industry level. In her current role she is responsible for developing strategies to tackle fraud and adopts a risk focused, intelligence led approach to combating the external threat fraud posed to RSA. In 2008 she obtained a Master Degree in Fraud Management from Teesside University.

As Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Carpe Data, Geoff Andrews is responsible for the overall operation of the company as well as the oversight and execution of strategic initiatives. Prior to his current tenure, Geoff served as a director and original member of Steel Card, playing a key role in the company’s development and successful acquisition by ChoicePoint. As the VP of Operations for the Personal Lines Software Division of Insurity, Geoff was integral in making Steel Card the first ChoicePoint acquisition— and exceeded expected revenue targets for the first three quarters as a result.
Today, Carpe Data harnesses the power of emerging and alternative data for insurance companies around the globe with powerful, proven artificial intelligence (AI). Through access to continuous monitoring and predictive scoring, insurers gain deeper insight into risks in real-time and significantly enhance many aspects of the insurance life cycle, including underwriting, claims, and book assessment.

Manjit plays a leading role in expanding Clearspeed’s market presence across the insurance sector whilst also serving as a key face of the brand at events, conferences, and in communities within the sector. He has been influential in taking Clearspeed from a virtually unknown brand in the European insurance sector to one of the most talked about InsurTechs across the industry.
He is highly regarded as an industry thought leader and one of the pioneers of the InsurTech movement. He has led the charge for informing and educating traditional, well-established players to remain relevant by helping to shape new propositions that are more compelling and relevant in a constantly connected, fiercely competitive, radically changing market.
With over 30 years’ experience of working in the insurance space alongside co-founding a number of start-up businesses and driving internal innovation for large global corporates, Manjit’s advice is firmly grounded and his role as Advisor to some of the most exciting InsurTech disruptors and industry accelerator programmes ensures he’s permanently well-informed.
