Richard Pash
Richard Pash joined Zurich in July 2016 as Director of UK Life Marketing. He became UK Marketing Director in 2017 and UK Chief Customer Officer in 2020. Richard leads the UK Customer Office, delivering Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Customer Insight and Experience, Customer Communication, and Events. He is responsible for marketing and customer activity for each of our business divisions and across the broader UK business. He is also a member of the Global Customer Office Leadership Team and a Vice President of the Institute of Customer Service.
Richard has a wealth of experience, as both Director of Marketing and Customer within market leading financial services, telecoms and ‘fast-moving consumer goods’ industries. Richard has achieved significant results through a strong focus on consumer needs, expertise in Digital Marketing, and leading strategic initiatives. He has broad experience in managing business units in companies such as Virgin Media, Vodafone and Mars.
Richard lives near Marlborough and studied at the University of Oxford where he achieved an MA in Chemistry.

‘challenge, to improve’ is the principle that guides Dan. He is a leader and strategist and with over 30 years’ experience, sits on the Markerstudy board in his current role.
Dan joined Markerstudy, the UK’s fifth largest motor insurance provider, in 2011 to head up the Group IT and Product Management divisions and led the rebrand of the division to ‘M-Powered’, building a culture of innovation, developing a scalable infrastructure to fast track mergers and acquisitions and underpinning rapid growth. Responsible for the IT digital strategy and IT and business cross functional teams, Dan created an award-winning team achieving recognition at the CIO Top 100, Gartner Eye on Innovation and Celent Model Insurer Awards.

As Innovation & Change Director at Markel UK, Tal leads business change and data insights streams, as well as developing and executing new technology and innovation efforts across the business. Tal brings over 20 years’ experience as a corporate development & strategy consultant and a C-Suite advisor focusing on organisational development, rapid transformation and innovation. As a consultant he worked with McKinsey & Company and independently, serving a wide range of clients, including clients in business information services and financial services. Combining an engineering background and solid commercial foundations with natural analytical curiosity, Tal is leading a wide range of optimisation and efficiency drives across the business looking at operating models, technology and digital solutions and mindset. These drives focus on improving current processes and capabilities across the entire business while looking ahead at future environments and market evolution scenarios.

Martin joined the Group as MD of Claims in October 2024. Martin has over 30 years of insurance experience and expertise. He started his career at a Lloyds Syndicate and most recently was the Claims Director at Allianz Personal, prior to that he was Claims Director at LV, delivering award winning customer outcomes. Martin has sat on the various industry boards including Thatcham and was a founding director of the Insurance Fraud Bureau. He has been involved in many industry leading activities such as the creation of the original Credit Hire GTA and has campaigned on many issues including Flood Resilience and Whiplash Claims Reform. Martin lives in South London and has 3 children and a number of pets to keep him busy! |

Rebekah Clement
Rebekah joined Lloyd’s in 2015 and was appointed Lloyd’s Corporate Affairs Director in 2023. A member of Lloyd’s Executive Committee and Sustainability Committee, Rebekah leads Lloyd’s government affairs, sustainability, thought leadership (Futureset), charity partnerships, brand, communications and media around the world. She is also responsible for driving the priorities and focus of cross-sector initiatives, including the Sustainable Markets Initiative Insurance Task Force, as well as its public sector partnerships. Rebekah has over 20 years’ corporate affairs experience across government policy, sustainability, brand reputation, media and communications. This has included holding a number of senior roles across the public and private sectors, including in New Zealand’s Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet as Press Secretary and Senior Advisor to the Governor-General of New Zealand, and most recently establishing and leading Lloyd’s sustainability framework and initiatives as its first Sustainability Director. She holds an Executive MBA from Cranfield University, together with a Bachelor of Communications from Massey University of New Zealand. Rebekah is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and sits on the University of Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies Advisory Board, together with the ClimateWise Managing Committee.

During over 30 years with Zurich, Scott has handled claims across all lines of business and all distribution channels and, in a previous role, headed up the Chief Executive’s Complaints Team. For the last 15 years, Scott has been responsible for managing and developing the claims fraud proposition across the General Business in the UK. With a team of 60 and cutting edge tools and technology, the Claims Investigation Unit have achieved notable success and industry recognition. He chairs Zurich’s Global Fraud Network and is a member of the Association of British Insurers General Insurance Fraud Committee.

Elliot is the UK Commercial Director for Assurant, responsible for the strategic development and optimisation of Assurant’s device protection portfolio across Banking, Retail and Mobile Network Operators. With over 18 years experience in the Insurance sector, Elliot has held a wide range of roles at Assurant including European Partnership Development, Contract Management & Sourcing, M&A and Corporate Strategy. With a specialism in embedded Insurance dating back to 2006, Elliot was part of the team that set up Assurant’s largest digital retail protection scheme in Europe.

Frank Streidl
Frank Streidl joined Zurich in November 2010 and has held a variety of local, regional and global leadership roles in Zurich Global Energy, Global Corporate and Commercial Insurance UK. Frank assumed the role of Head of Commercial Insurance UK on 1st January 2023. Frank has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and considers Upstream Energy his natural home. Prior to joining Zurich Insurance, he held senior roles at Hannover Re, Accenture and Deutsche Bundeswehr. Frank graduated from Maastricht University (NL) and The University of Western Ontario (CDN) and holds their respective degrees in Economics and Social Sciences. A former member of the Joint Rig Committee, Frank chaired the IUMI Offshore Energy Committee from 2013 to 2020. He is a member of the Board for the International Underwriting Association.

Patrick Hinze
Patrick Hinze is heading a team providing smart risk transfer solutions for emerging green technologies like EV’s, circular economy and hydrogen technology like fuel cells and electrolysers. Patrick is working for Munich RE since 2012. In several functions along the reinsurance value chain, his focus has been mostly on green energy, engineering and innovation. He is a mechanical engineer and holds a MBA. Before joining Munich RE Patrick was an Army officer.

An experienced product and technology leader, I specialise in driving value creation and digital transformation within early-stage and private equity-backed fast-scaling technology-led insurance organisations. My expertise sits at the intersection of business transformation, product strategy, and technology innovation aimed at increasing operational efficiency and driving growth. Currently working as the Head of Underwriting Technology at CFC Underwriting, I oversee a dynamic, cross-functional product organisation. Our aim is to focus on developing and delivering technology solutions to automate and augment our underwriting workflows.

Adele Sumner
Adele Sumner is the Head of Counter Fraud at RSA Insurance UK. She has over ten years of ‘hands on’ experience in counter fraud activity in the insurance sector, including leading RSA’s Fraud Intelligence Team where she developed techniques and experience in the use of the internet, both to assist individual investigations and to obtain data that will enhance fraud detection models. She is widely acknowledged for her expertise in the practical deployment and use of technology to identify fraud and has been an important figure in various fraud technology programmes both in RSA and at an industry level. In her current role she is responsible for developing strategies to tackle fraud and adopts a risk focused, intelligence led approach to combating the external threat fraud posed to RSA. In 2008 she obtained a Master Degree in Fraud Management from Teesside University.

Fredrik Thuring
Fredrik Thuring is Head of Operational analytics at Trygg-Hansa Försäkring. He has 15 years of experience within the technical sphere of insurance, including riskbased pricing, price optimization, analytics and data science. He holds a MSc in Engineering physics and a PhD in Mathematics.

Jean Bayon de La Tour
Jean Bayon de La Tour is an established professional with a robust background in banking, where he held various roles in Wealth Management and Internal Audit. He subsequently transitioned to the insurance industry, leading Marsh’s Cyber broking operations in France before being appointed as Managing Director and Head of Cyber for Marsh Europe. In 2023, Jean joined Howden as the Head of Cyber International, where he plays a pivotal role in addressing the rising demand for cyber insurance solutions. He is focused on engaging with clients to understand their unique needs and translating these into tailored insurance solutions. Additionally, he continues to build and train a specialized team on cyber risk and insurance across international markets. Jean is also instrumental in establishing and rolling out Howden’s value proposition for clients, as well as fostering strong relationships with insurers.

Daljitt is a Senior General Manager within Tokio Marine Holdings, and as the Global Head of Cyber Risk, is an industry leader in cyber risk and cyber insurance, combining insurance value chain expertise with a cyber security technology background. He is responsible for the continued development of Tokio Marine Group’s cyber insurance strategy, market intelligence, cyber training, performance management and accumulation. He is also the leader of the Tokio Marine Innovation Lab in London – which reports directly to the Group Chief Digital Officer and focuses on digital transformation in the non-life business. Daljitt also holds several different board advisor roles within the start-up community.
