Tracey Steger is Assistant Vice President Data Science at The Hartford. She currently leads the Small Commercial Data Science team, focused on delivering analytics into the workflow supporting the strategic goals of Small Commercial Underwriting, Product and Sales.

Tracey has over 15 years of experience in actuarial and data science functions supporting personal, commercial and claims. She also recently led an innovation team, responsible for testing new and emerging technology and data as applicable to insurance use cases.

Tracey has a proven ability to lead through change, drive understanding and adoption of analytics while organizing teams to deliver.

Tracey earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in German Language at the University of Rhode Island. She earned her FCAS in 2011. Tracey has also worked at MetLife Auto & Home and Travelers.
