Simeon Asov is Head Operational Risk Management and Product development departments at NN Insurance Bulgaria.

Simeon has been working for NN Insurance for 9 years. In 2011 he joined Operational Risk Management department as Anti-Fraud Officer. Since then, he has been working together with his colleagues from Risk management and Senior management to establish strong fraud risk management framework at NN Insurance, which covers both internal and external fraud. Simeon main responsibilities related to anti-fraud include: staff training and awareness programs, regular fraud risk assessment and key controls testing, automated red flag monitoring process, regular fraud reporting and trend analysis. Simeon and his team lead regular meeting of the internal Special Investigation unit and coordinates fraud investigation activities. In 2014, in addition to Anti-Fraud, he was appointed as Senior Operational Risk Management officer supporting the management in establishing an adequate Operational risk management structure and process. In 2016 Simeon stood at the head of Operational risk management team. In the beginning of 2017 he took the lead of Product development department as well.

In addition, Simeon has three years of experience in Claims handling and four years in Finance as Unit Linked officer. He is also experienced in Project management supporting the project team to identify and mitigate the risks related to project execution and implementation. He is certified in Prince II project management program foundation level and knows well enough Lean Six Sigma Methodology.

Simeon has financial education – Bachelor’s degree of Finance and Master’s degree of Bank Management.
