Sibylle Fischer studied Business Administration with a major in Finance and Accounting at the University of St. Gallen.

She started her career in a corporate Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team at DB Stadtverkehr, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn. Nearly four years later she joined Struktur Management Partner at Cologne, a consulting firm specialised in restructuring and turnaround management of SME businesses (turnover EUR 30m – 500m, mainly family owned). In 2010 she joined Baloise as a member of the Corporate Development team and later on, in July 2013, became the head of this department. In this time, she was responsible for all M&A related activities of Baloise Group.

Since 2017 she is part of the Group Strategy and Digital Transformation Team and now, as part of the  Anthemis Baloise Strategic Ventures Investment Committee, responsible for the Corporate Venturing als well as the Startup Scouting activities of Baloise Group.
