Mark started his career with HSBC as a software tester and developer. He moved to Aviva fulfilling a variety of managerial and leadership roles in operations, design and IT delivery. He joined Zurich as Head of BC&IT for Zurich Municipal, the local authority, charity and housing segment of Zurich, and after five years was promoted to the newly created role of UK Head of Innovation.

As UK Head of innovation Mark dictates Zurich UK’s innovation agenda. As a leader and influencer in the insurtech space he is adept at building and maintaining meaningful and mutually beneficial partnerships. As with his award winning team, he insists on an inclusive approach, ensuring all employees follow the Zurich innovation ‘story’ from initial kernel of an idea right through to activation.
