Jake Rothfuss is an experienced senior executive and entrepreneur, with broad leadership experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry. His passion is investing in and growing businesses which are focused on tackling tough challenges in their markets and striving for exceptionalism across all aspects of
business performance.

Jake joined Velocity Risk in April 2018, as the Chief Operating Officer for the group and was appointed as the President in July 2020. During his tenure, the firm has grown to be one of the top specialty property insurance firms in the United States. Prior to joining Velocity, Jake held a series of executive leadership roles at Farmers Insurance Group and
The Hartford, where he developed a reputation for driving significant strategic and operational change. Among his accomplishments; he has successfully turned around failing Workers Compensation and Commercial Auto businesses, launched multiple new products across all major commercial lines of business, led large scale technology transformations, and streamlined business operations. Most recently, Jake was the SVP & Chief Operating Officer for Farmers Business Insurance. He was responsible for all aspects of the company’s field underwriting and service operations countrywide; including setting direction and ensuring execution of the product, underwriting, and customer service functions across 6 regional sites and 750+ employees.

Mr. Rothfuss and his wife Jessica have three children, and reside in Franklin, Tennessee where they are active members in the local community through various volunteer organizations
