Douglas Allen is a data scientist at Co-op Insurance specialising in the identification and prevention of fraud. Previously working within the counter fraud team he developed subject matter expertise on application fraud within the insurance industry. Now within the data science team he leverages this knowledge to design and deliver fit for purpose data analytics that the fraud team were able to easily access and use to make timely and informed decisions.

Douglas has an interest in the application of machine learning and has used this approach in models which have improved identification of fraudulent insurance applications.
