Christopher Lowell is VP and Head of the Small Business Innovation Lab which supports The Hartford by focusing on understanding small business owners and developing new products, services, and business to address their unique risk management needs. For the past few years, Chris has focused on industry-wide issues, such as blockchain, innovation, smart cities, and autonomous vehicles. Prior to The Hartford, Chris was Managing Director of Liberty Mutual’s Corporate Strategy & Research group and a consultant at Bain & Company in London and South Africa. Chris holds an M.B.A. from MIT Sloan, a Masters in Finance from Northeastern University, and an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Harvard University.
