Abby Hosseini is Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Mercury General Corporation (NYSE: MCY), a Property and Casualty Insurance company headquartered in California. Abby is responsible for developing and executing Mercury’s technology strategy while maintaining a long-range vision of future technology direction that aligns with Mercury’s digital
transformation goals. Prior to his CIO role, Abby held the position of CTO at Mercury Insurance for 10 years.

With over 38 years in information technology, Abby has a broad IT experience including transformational work with global financial services, high tech and retail organizations located in the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Australia, Norway, and India.

Prior to Mercury, Abby was Senior Vice President, CIO and CTO of Option One Mortgage, part of H&R Block, where he oversaw the buildup of company’s global applications and technology initiatives. Abby also served as Senior Vice President and Global CIO of PeopleSupport, a global provider of one industry’s first SaaS based CRM and omni-channel Business Process Outsourcing to Fortune 100 companies. Earlier in his career, Abby held positions as Vice President of Engineering at Genea Energy Partners, Managing Consultant for Customer Relationship Management at HP Services. Abby also held senior IT positions at Sanwa Bank Ltd., The Capital Group of Companies, and UCLA Program in Computing. Abby received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from UCLA and holds an MBA from Pepperdine University. He is a life-time learner, and an avid soccer fan that enjoys coaching and leading people, researching trends in management theory, organization development and technology-led business transformation.
