Steinunn Hlíf Sigurðardóttir joined Vörður in 2008 after being in the banking industry in Iceland for nearly 10 years.  She started her career in 1998 with Kaupthing where she became Deputy MD of Sales and Marketing. In 2005 she joined SJOVA, an Icelandic insurer, but quickly went back to the banking business when joining Landsbanki in 2006. Through her work in Landsbanki she crossed paths with Vörður and ended up joining the management team of Vörður in 2008. She has held various positions throughout Vörður´s rapid growth in the past years. She has been responsible for underwriting, sales and services and since 2011 she has been responsible for claims.   She also manages all outward reinsurance for the Company along with the MD of Underwriting.  Steinunn Hlíf holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics from Flagler College.
