Robert Somogyi is Director of Business Planning at Clearstream Banking. Business Planning combines elements of strategic analysis and planning with strategic communication, including M&As and partnerships, innovation management, speeches, thought leadership material, marketing and events. Rob joined Clearstream in 2006 and has since provided strategic, financial and economic analysis as well as project management for multiple topics including financial regulation, securities settlement infrastructure such as TARGET2-Securities (T2S), market development and cost management. In 2009 Rob represented Clearstream as a consultant to the Asian Development Bank for the Group of Experts (GOE) investigation of a Regional Settlement Intermediary for ASEAN+3, part of the Asian Bond Market Initiative. Since 2014 Rob has been the project manager for Clearstream’s T2S ICSD adaptations and Investor CSD service implementation. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University at Kingston, and an MBA with a specialization in Finance from Central European University Business School.
