Michelle Dornfeld leads the Business Development & Strategic Partnerships team at Toggle, a modern insurance startup within the Farmers Insurance family. In this role, Michelle leads the embedded insurance strategy for Toggle and sources key strategic distribution partners that align with Toggle’s target market. Toggle’s unique auto, home, and renters product design and user experience have helped position it as a leading carrier in the embedded insurance space. Prior to this role, Michelle served in a variety of leadership positions over her 18-year career at Farmers, including Head of Strategy & Execution, where she oversaw the enterprise strategic planning process, and Head of Business Integration, where she led a number of cross-functional enterprise teams including the Program Management Office, Lean Center of Excellence, and Information Governance hub. Michelle has a Molecular and Cellular Biology degree from Northwestern University and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two teenage sons (send help!), and two rescue pups. She has a black belt in mixed martial arts and is a certified book coach. When she’s not busy making embedded insurance magic, Michelle loves to read fiction and travel the world.
