Michael Blix is the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at RSA Insurance in the Scandinavia Region, operating under the local brands Codan & Trygg-Hansa. His role is to lead a team of Enterprise Architects to develop and govern the technology usage as well as to lead technology-derived innovation activities – introducing leading edge technology solutions and ways of working. This entails transforming the local operations from being a traditional P&C insurer into one that is recognized for being one of the best service companies by having a strong customer mind-set and being easy to deal with. Michael has been a part of the company’s IS/IT & Change leadership team since 2007, in part monitoring and overseeing all larger Change and IT initiatives, as well as personally leading the delivery of a number of key projects and Change programmes in areas such as Data, Claims, Marketing and Internet. His background is in technology strategy, operations and business development in Scandinavia, the UK and other parts of Western Europe. Michael holds an MBA from Imperial College, London as well as a M.Sc in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
