Grant Mitchell is a qualified actuary with over 20 years’ experience in personal lines General Insurance. In previous roles Grant initially specialised in pricing and then took overall responsibility for the Co-op’s motor insurance business, including leading the project to launch the Co-op’s groundbreaking Young Driver Insurance product, one of the first of its kind to utilise telematics technology, in 2011.  Since 2013, Grant has been Chief Actuary for the Co-op, overseeing reserving, capital management, Solvency II, reinsurance, data management and business intelligence.  He has executive accountability for the Co-op’s data and analytics strategy.  Grant is a member of the ABI’s Motor Committee and Data Steering Group. He is a regular speaker at market events on topics including personal injury, telematics and data analytics.
