David Phillips has over 30 years experience working in General and Life Insurance, with most of his time being in claims management. He joined NFU Mutual in 2002, and in 2013 successfully attained a Master of Arts (MA) with merit in Fraud Management. In 2009 to 2010 he sat on the ABI’s General Insurance Anti Fraud Committee.  From 2010 to 2013 he was on the committee and then Chair of IFIG.  In October 2019 he was appointed to the ABI and General Insurance Fraud Committee.  His now leading the GIFC’s working group, looking at the potential impact of fraud to the industry leading up to and post go live of the new Civil Liabilities Act (so called Whiplash Reforms) .
