Darius has worked in varied environments, holding executive/leadership roles in firms ranging from large corporates to small avant-garde firms, consultancies and green-field startups.
He is an expert UX practitioner and led the Experience Design Practice for ThoughtWorks Europe (a top technical consultancy) for several years. During his time there he led several successful digital programmes, including large scale transformations for Thomson Reuters and launching TimeOut’s award-winning iPhone app.
As Head of Digital at specialist insurer Markel International, Darius helped build out their digital capability. He introduced new tools, tech and working practices alongside more Agile approaches to governance. Beyond repeatedly delivering quality software, his team was recognised for cultural transformation by being awarded one of the prestigious SPARK THE CHANGE cross-industry awards.
Darius is recognised as a change agent within the insurance industry, having keynoted and presented at several industry events and is often featured in the insurance industry press.
He is a Post-Magazine Digital Activist and has attended insurtech round-tables at 10 Downing St.
Darius is a regular speaker at international conferences on digital leadership, UX and Agile transformation. Darius is a massive advocate of Lean UX and disruptive innovation. He loves engaging at a senior level and changing the way companies both work and think.
