Daniel Litscher (1972) is Head Business Innovation at Helvetia Insurance since October 2017. Helvetia is an Europe-wide all-lines insurance group founded in 1858 with the group head office in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Also in the new digital world, Helvetia enthusiastically accompanies its customers with simple and clear insurance and pension solutions – in every situation. Under his leadership, Helvetia started to develop innovation in a systematic way with a clear focus on the overall strategy and respective results. Innovation at Helvetia is today a holistic approach covering internal prototyping, corporate incubation, innovation platform and a kickbox program for internal employees.

Daniel studied Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) where he also received his “Lizentiat” (similar degree to MBA). After university, he joined KPMG Consulting and later BearingPoint. He worked mainly on international projects in the banking sector. In 2005 he founded together with a partner a first consulting company followed by a second one in 2007. After very successful years in the finance industry, he decided in 2015 to change sides and joined Helvetia as global head of the Business Intelligence Program.

Daniel is married and proud father of a son and a girl.
