Beth Schmidt is the Director of IT Delivery and Agile Operations at Markel Corporation where she helps the organization scale their Agile practices and leads a team of Program Managers and Scrum Masters. She has 20 years of experience delivering software solutions in roles ranging from programmer to Vice President where she has evolved from developing software to developing people. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Adult Learning and Organizational Performance with a dual emphasis in Leadership, and Training and Development. Beth has experienced and helped lead transformations at companies of various sizes in various industries. She is passionate about high performance cultures and teams. She has helped launch two user groups in Omaha to bring together like-minded individuals, one focused on great company cultures and the other focused on Agile software development. Throughout her career, she has been certified to facilitate a variety of classes and workshops, all intended to help people and teams “be” better.
