Chief Executive Officer, Go-Pay

Aldi Haryopratomo is the CEO of GO-PAY. He joined GO-PAY with a vision to accelerate the adoption of financial services for the unbanked and underbanked, particularly in rural areas, where financial services are yet widely available. He is also the founder of Mapan, an Indonesian lending network that focuses on providing access to unbanked communities in Indonesia, and grew the company from inception to the organisation it is today with 2.3 million members across Indonesia. Through Mapan, Aldi led the team to create technology that leverages the strong bond that already exists in communities to help them access products and financial services they could not previously afford.

Aldi has dedicated his entire career in supporting lower income communities to improve their lives. He was an early employee at Kiva, a San Francisco based non-profit organization, for which he toured around Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam on a motorbike in search of microfinance banks. He then worked at the Boston Consulting Group, whereas his work included the development of a business model for agent banking in Pakistan.

Aldi holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Engineering from Purdue University. He was elected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2012 and Endeavor Entrepreneur of The Year in 2016.
